This past week we returned from three weeks in Ecuador at the mission. We were also able to have some visitors stay with us and we were able to share with them the work the mission does with the children there. Over the next year our we hope to be able to share with you some of the pictures, videos, and stories we gathered.
Reflecting on this past trip, we kept thinking, “It’s worth it!” The work that our team at Mission Santa Maria does each month, the sacrifice of our donors, the time it takes to make sure our programs are functioning properly… It is worth it!
It’s worth it because of the children and the families that we help. Every time we heard a new story or met a new child at the mission, it became clear that their poverty is so great and the help we give is so needed. Below is a quick video that highlights one aspect of their daily lives:
We look forward to sharing more stories of what your money is doing in the lives of these children as the year progresses. On behalf of the Mission Santa Maria Team, thank you for your generosity, particularly at the end of last year. What you have done and what you continue to do is worth it.
